Bazooka har nyligen lanserat en ny version av Newsmills iPhone-applikation. Den blev väldigt fin tycker vi och den är helt omgjord från den förra versionen. Nytt i denna version är bland annat att den har stöd för iOS4, man läser artiklarna direkt i applikationen samt att man nu kan logga in och kommentera.

We produced a new mobile website for the Swedish Presidency of the European Union. Based on RSS and Twitter feeds, it delivers all the news and events occurring during the presidency.

Unless you’ve already done so, we recommend that you immediately download the brand new iPhone application for Newsmill that we made! The application will give you a new way to browse the topics on Swedens #1 opinion site, and it will also let you make your voice heard by letting you “Mill” (swe. “Milla”) right from your iPhone.

Although all of us here like the quick overview that the list view of the application provides, it’s hard to resist playing around with the “bubble view”. Just pinch your way through the stack of bubbles!

We got the privilege to take responsibility for the frontend adaptation of the new global mobile web. We made sure that the website is optimized for mobile handsets including adaptations for the new X1 Xperia smartphone as well as arab, chinese and hebrew language support.

The Quran is going mobile

Together with Dub Tools we’ve built a streaming service with complete recitation of the holy Quran in mobile handsets. It’s powered by the Grid Engine developed by Bazooka.

The goal is to release the service on a global market.

The Grid Engine is a CMS specifically developed for the creation of sites that are mainly visited by mobile phones. The grid engine has been developed by Bazooka for Dubtools and has services running in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and the UK.

The system includes identification of the user as well as billing and streaming of content.

Some of the Features

• The content displayed to the user can be customized by operator.
• All content can be translated to fit different languages and users can be given the possibility to change to other languages.
• The billing system makes it possible to bill any content. It supports both single purchases and subscriptions of content by a specific operator.
• You can create CSS-files and use them with a certain phone model or a group of phone models.
• Alot of things can be customized by phone model and operator.
